The many faces of Cameron!

This baby boy cracks us up! He makes the funniest faces and I just had to post some of them. He's precious, fiesty, hilarious, sweet, snuggly, smart, alert, wiggly, picky, adorable and ridiculously soft! He loves his swing, blankies, feeding time, having his face tickled, laying by sissy, and his binky. We can't imagine life without our little CamoMan!

Beautiful baby ClaireBear!

This super patient, calm, sweet, quiet and beautiful little baby girl melts my heart! I seriously almost died today from my heart exploding. She has the sweetest spirit, prettiest skin, tiniest fingers and ears, twinklyest eyes, cutest milk tongue, and most adorable new chubby cheeks! She looks at you with such love and wonder. She is an old soul and always looks like she knows something you don't. You can feel that she is straight from heaven. I was able to sit with just her for hours today while brother slept. It was so fun. I got to snuggle her and snap a bunch of adorable pictures. She pulls the cutest faces! We love our ClaireBear!!!

First official Father's Day!

Happy 1st Father's Day to this guy!! So happy to be able to say that! This guy loves these beautiful little babies and can't stop saying how perfect they are. Though he had to go back home and is working today, we are wishing him a happy day from my parents home.

To all those waiting to see their husbands become fathers, hang in there. It's hard to wait and we wonder why things happen the way they do. Holidays like this can be very painful. But, when the day finally comes...your husband holding your baby(ies) is a beautiful sight that was worth the wait!

Week 4 of Parenthood! - 1 month old, dairy is the devil & cousins!

I CANNOT believe that our sweet little humans turned one month old on Monday! They're the cutest little things and changing so fast. Claire has chubbed up more and both have already changed a lot. Claire is much more alert and both are awake for longer periods of time. We don't know their weights and lengths because their well check isn't for another week because I'm out of town, but they sure are growing! Cameron fits into newborn diapers now with only a little sag, and Claire isn't too far behind. Crazy that she still wears preemie diapers at one month old. Love our teenie tinies! Cameron is also long enough to fit into some of the newborn clothes. Both are still so small around though. I love their tiny bellies! I don't think we'd know what to do with regular sized babies, ha ha. My sister said they looked like tiny dolls when she first saw them, he he. That was only a week ago.

I am hanging in there but am absolutely sleep deprived. Surprise surprise, lol. I ain't gonna sugar coat it, lol...I cry often (tears of exhaustion and happiness - post partum hormones suck!), I feel like death some days, only able to shower every couple days if I'm lucky, and have giant dark circles under my eyes. I actually fell asleep for a couple of seconds the other night while standing in the kitchen warming up the babies' bottles. Scared the crap outta me because I started to tip over, ha ha. Don't worry, wasn't holding anyone. Being a new mommy of twins is HARD sometimes. Especially when you're trying to recover from laying in bed for 1/4 of a year right before giving birth, ha ha. We are so beyond thrilled to have these precious, sweet, beautiful babies and wouldn't trade them for anything, I'm not trying to whine. But, babies are A LOT of work. You fellow mommies of twins and not twins already know this. Every night that I am just absolutely baffled that I'm still functioning though, I just have to look at their sweet faces, take in a deep breath of their sweet baby smell, and I'm recharged and fall in love all over again. I have been amazed at what I didn't think I could do that I actually can! Some days are a confidence booster. Though I'm exhausted, we are super happy and grateful for these insanely cute babies! Also, so glad to be visiting family right now and have some baby helpers so I can nap. Yay!! I have come to realllly appreciate naps and showers. Friends keep saying welcome to mombiehood! Ha ha. So grateful to my family and to my hubby for all of their help!

Are these not the cutest babies everrrr?!?
Happy one month babies!

Dairy is the devil! Many of you know that I'm allergic and it makes me extremely sick. So, of course I ate/drank none while pregnant. So the babies never got anything dairy. They've really been having a hard time on formula and with my breastmilk. So much so that I quit breastfeeding (had a really low supply from exhaustion anyways) because Claire was so backed up and it made Cameron super fussy. They also have tried three different kinds of Similac with no luck. Poor Cameron acted like he he had been fed acid within five minutes of drinking a bottle and Claire wouldn't drink a whole bottle, she'd just shut down and end up really backed up. So, I thought we should try soy formula just incase they have a dairy allergy like me by some freak chance or just a sensitivity from getting none during pregnancy. Some tiny tummies just can't handle dairy for the first year. It's not extremely uncommon. Sure enough though, both babies in less than 2 feedings were doing great. Still are. So sad that they can't tolerate it but just so glad they're feeling better. It broke my heart to see Cameron so miserable. He would turn purple from crying so hard and would act like his dirty diaper was lava. Poor kiddos. So, Daddy is the only dairy consumer in our house for now. Wheat and dairy are the two hardest things for the body to process, I'm surprised more people can't tolerate it. Both of those things are in everything now a days.

My sister came to visit and the babies got to meet their baby cousin! She's only 7.5 months old but looks like a GIANT compared to the twins, lol. It was so fun to watch Joyce check out the twins. She would look at one and then whip her head over to the other. You could tell she was confused there were two, he he. Anyways, I've been waiting a long time to have a cousins picture with my sister, so these are special to me. Definitely need to take better ones later. Love these three! Also, the babies had their first outting this last week that wasn't a doctors appointment! My sister and I loaded up all of the babies and went to Sonic :) It's also the first time I had driven since going on bed rest in February, ha ha. Felt super weird. Yay for sonic and their delicious ice!

Yay for headbands!!!

I have waited a very long time to put headbands on a beautiful baby girl! So I thought this adorable picture deserved its own post. Claire's cute little noodle is finally getting big enough to fit into some headbands. Thanks Grammy! This picture melts my heart.

Week 3 of Parenthood! - Announcement pictures, bye bye Grammy & Pooh paintings!

Well, the babies are 3 weeks old today! :'( Where is the time going??! I can't believe how big they're getting. It's exciting and devastating all at the same time. They will be growing out of their preemie diapers before we know it! (PS-we are going through an insane amount of diapers!!) Just when I think they couldn't get any cuter...they do! We love these two little munchkins so much. They're such good babies and grow bigger every day. So grateful they're healthy little things. Claire's cheeks are starting to get chubby and Cameron's are getting chubbier! They both make the funniest sounds and faces. Usually they sound like tiny bear cubs. I love watching them sleep, their sweet faces are to die for. Cameron still hates bathtime and Claire has started eating more milliliters at feedings. Both are starting to kind of fit into newborn clothes, Cameron more than Claire of course. They may have long arms and legs but they're still so small around. Love our tiny people burritos!

We have waited a longgggg time to send out a birth announcement! I have dreamed of this day for many years...what it would look like, what the baby would wear, how I would feel when I saw the finished product. Never dreamed we would be doing an announcement for twins though! So fun and so exciting. Pretty happy with how they turned out, the pictures printed a little dark though. But, I'm much too exhausted to edit the pictures and have them redone. So I'm calling it good. But, they were inexpensive (thank you Costco!), are simple and adorable. We will cherish the announcement forever and ever! Here are some pictures from my mini photo shoot with the bebes also. Still need to edit them. Cameron didn't want to cooperate quite as well as Claire, ha ha. Thanks for the adorable outfits Kay Dell, and thanks for the super cute bear beanies Monica and family!

My poor, poor Mom finally went home on Tuesday. I'm so happy for her to return to her own life and home, but I  blubbered like a baby, ha ha. I am so grateful to her and hope she is blessed a million times over for all of her help. She waited on me hand and foot, cleaned, cooked, did laundry, took care of Slinky, washed my hair, rubbed my back and sore shoulders while on bed rest, watched Bates Motel with me, laughed at dumb stuff with me, and crocheted the babies beautiful blankets while hanging out at my bedside and chatting. I love her more than words can say. Thank you mom for all of your help. You helped keep our babies safe in my belly and allowed them to be born healthy! I will do a special post about my super amazing Granny who helped out immensely as well at a later time, I need a picture of her with the babies first :)

It is so fun feeding and snuggling the babies in their adorable bedroom. Their little spirits are so sweet and tender. They're fresh from heaven and it can literally be felt. So grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing us with these two beautiful babies! A big thank you to my baby sister for these beautiful Pooh Bear paintings she did for their room. They are beyond adorable and totally finished off the room. We love them! Thanks Auntie Monica!!
