Believe it or not, getting the actual shot doesn't hurt at all! Grandma is done before I know anything has happened, which most don't believe because the needles are SO long. But afterward it does burn some and I have knots under my skin at each injection site. My new bestie is the heat pad! It helps a ton and feels so good. I will continue the Estrogen shots (2 x week in the pm) for a few more weeks, and I get to start the Progesterone shots (daily in the am) soon. Yay, one step closer to the embryo transfer! If the embryo transfer later this month is successful, I will continue these shots until I am about 10 weeks along to prevent a miscarriage. I will have some REALLY sore sides, but it will be easy to endure for a sweet baby (or babies!) that we have wanted for so long. What better motivation could you ask for?! :)
