Mondays & Thursdays! - a glimpse into my schedule

Every Monday I go get my blood work done at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George. Fun fact: a woman's normal Estrogen level (while not on her cycle and not pregnant) is in the 20s, last week mine had already climbed to 598! I'm right on track, and it will get much higher as I continue my shots and pills.

Thursdays I have my lining checks, and they're oh so fun, lol. The doctor wants my uterus lining to be at 8mm, that is the optimal "fluffiness" level for the embryos. We want to give them their absolute best chance for implantation. Yesterday my lining was at 6.5mm. Not too far away, but praying it gets to where it needs to be by next Thursday (15th). Still have 2 more shots and several pills to take before then, so all should be ok :) But please keep us in your prayers! I got some pills yesterday to help assist the shots with my lining.

I am feeling ok so far! Only a few bothersome side effects of the meds, it could be worse. I don't sleep much the nights of the injections and have super weird dreams. Hormone level hikes can do that though. My hands are a tiny bit puffy, I'm really tired, my chest hurts A LOT (sorry to all the dudes for saying that, but it's true!), and I'm getting nauseous. Being a very picky eater...not much sounds good besides apples, oranges, bananas, peanut butter, baked potatoes, and french fries, ha ha. Healthy I know, but I haven't gained any weight, and need to eat what doesn't upset my tummy. But on the bright side, I'm not too emotional so far. I'm so proud of myself, lol. IVF in 2008 was a different story though, ha ha. This is a much less intense treatment though. We didn't have any embryos that survived when we did IVF, so we didn't end up with any to transfer. So it's very exciting to be able to jump right to the fun part of prepping for the embryo transfer! We are eternally grateful to our anonymous donating couple, and so blessed to be given this chance!

Got some Red Robin again yesterday with Grandpa and Grandma after my appointment (extra fries to go of course, he he!), then picked up this cute girl! It was a fun day, besides hearing that my lining should be a little thicker :(

A little infertility humor for ya because I needed a good laugh, loved this...ha!
